About the Compabase Project
Poland is renowned for its successful digitalization, ranking among the top countries for open data accessibility. Business owners themselves contribute to this success by publishing annual financial statements. Thanks to these conditions, anyone can verify a partner’s financial health, identify potential business leads, or assess industry trends.
However, raw data alone isn't enough to perform meaningful analysis and derive actionable insights. You need a single hub where all information converges. In this regard, government portals fall short: registry data lives in one place, while financial statements are stored in another. Other critical details—such as debt status or VAT white list registration—are scattered across separate registers.
Even if the government were to centralize all these databases, we would still be far from effective analytics. Financial statements alone come in 9 different formats that require proper classification and interpretation. The underlying infrastructure needs to be built for seamless integration with AI agents. Furthermore, mapping structural ownership links or verifying contact details requires a level of data depth beyond the scope of public administration.
There is much work to be done, but the technological capabilities exist today. Businesses deserve total market transparency, instant client verification, and deep economic intelligence. That is why we decided not to wait—and built Compabase.
What Is the Vision Behind Compabase?
We built Compabase primarily for AI agents and machine analysis. The core foundation of the platform is its database—detailed, rich, and updated in real time. Our infrastructure is engineered from the ground up for communication with AI models (including via the MCP protocol) and for feeding CRM systems via API.
This approach stems from our conviction that the future of handling dynamic and complex data lies not in manual clicking, but in deep collaboration between the database and AI. We provide the solid foundation, and each company leverages it on its own terms.
That being said, we haven't overlooked the human element. Every company profile features intuitive visual charts illustrating organizational capital flows. This is a signature feature of our platform and proof of how deeply we parse financial statements. It allows users to quickly scan any business and, whenever questions arise, interact directly with a dedicated AI assistant.

Power generation and distribution
Compabase's ultimate vision includes international expansion—aggregating multi-market data to multiply the platform’s analytical power. However, our modus operandi is depth over breadth; we prioritize data quality over raw quantity. We will expand globally only once we have extracted every possible detail in Poland.
Who Is Behind Compabase?
Compabase was created by the Content Writer team. We specialize in fusing technology with content, making a business intelligence platform a natural next step in our evolution.
We started as a content marketing agency crafting high-value SEO content. As we scaled, we replicated our model internationally—expanding across 47 countries, including the US, China, India, and Nigeria.
When the AI era arrived, we knew traditional content creation would change forever. Writing good text was no longer enough—you needed unique, proprietary data. That led us to build Monitly, a platform for trend tracking and statistical monitoring. By aggregating millions of data points from reliable sources like Eurostat, WHO, the World Bank, and FAO, we enriched our content with interactive charts and deep domain insights.
While macro statistics are great for identifying long-term trends, we realized we needed granular data describing the economy in real time. That spark birthed Compabase—a real-time company intelligence platform.
We possessed everything required for this venture: big data expertise gained from Monitly and content management competence inherited from Content Writer. Our 47-country expansion gave us a global perspective, enabling us to architect a multi-language platform built for future international growth.
The development of Compabase is spearheaded by Bartosz Ciesielski, CEO of Content Writer, alongside long-time collaborators and AI itself, which plays an increasingly vital role in building the platform month by month.
An Appeal to Businesses
To the business owners whose companies are listed on our platform: we want to offer full reassurance. Compabase is operated entirely by a registered Polish entity and relies exclusively on public data. We do not purchase external lead lists; we aggregate information from official government registries and publicly accessible corporate websites.
By law, we send a notification to every company when its profile goes live, as mandated by Article 14 of the GDPR. We understand that such official notifications can sound intimidating, cause uncertainty, or occasionally prompt complaints. Sending notifications to hundreds of thousands of companies means we anticipate these reactions.
However, we want to assure you that:
- We only publish public data from the National Court Register (KRS), state registers, and corporate websites. Our goal is to increase market transparency so that every business and citizen has access to a modern platform powered by AI.
- We do not sell personal data as a standalone product. To maintain and develop our free platform, we offer advanced paid features, such as higher API/MCP request limits and CSV data exports. An integral part of this public data includes executive board and supervisory information—essential public records showing who legally represents the entity. These are not enriched or private details, but a direct reflection of public records.
- We make profile editing straightforward. Company representatives can update their profile details simply by clicking the edit button and verifying access via their corporate email address—no account registration required. This allows you to update your logo, website, email, or publish company updates. Our team is always available via email if you need assistance.
We hope Compabase serves as a valuable tool for every company seeking to track market trends, monitor suppliers, and mitigate risk. If our data helps you predict a client’s insolvency, avoid payment delays, or uncover new investment opportunities, we will be proud to have contributed to the digitalization of business.
