Sanctions lists | What's New on Compabase

Below we publish the latest changes to the Compabase platform.

Sanctions lists

We have introduced a sanctions risk verification module to Compabase, integrated directly into company profiles. The platform monitors the official Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) sanctions list, together with the US lists (BIS Entity List and OFAC SDN), the UK Sanctions List and the World Bank debarment list, displaying not only the listing status itself, but also the specific restrictive measures applied (such as asset freezes or exclusions from public procurement) alongside the full legal justification.

This adds a critical layer of security to your due diligence and KYC/AML workflows—right alongside registry records (KRS/CEIDG), insolvency and restructuring proceedings (KRZ), and ultimate beneficial owners (CRBR). Sanctions data also instantly feeds our AI engine, which automatically flags sanctions risk during counterparty credibility assessments.

Quarterly Reports for Public Companies

We have expanded Compabase data to include quarterly financial results for publicly traded companies. This new data stream synchronizes in real time with our AI engine, providing the assistant with immediate financial context for every public company.

  • The AI now has access to the latest financial reports without having to wait for annual filings.
  • The AI provides accurate dates for upcoming earnings releases, dividend schedules, and key corporate actions.
  • Market and exchange data updates every minute, ensuring analytical queries and generated insights reflect current market conditions.

This integration makes it possible to analyze quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) and year-over-year (YoY) performance in seconds, track market trends, and instantly spot turning points in public company earnings.

Estimated company valuation

We have added an estimated company-valuation module to Compabase, built on hard data from e-KRS financial statements and international valuation standards (IVS). Instead of relying on simplified market multiples, the platform reads balance sheets and income statements (P&L) and presents a valuation from three complementary, deterministic methods:

  • Book value (NAV): a conservative asset floor — net equity after all liabilities are covered.
  • Ohlson model (Harvard Business School / RIM): residual-income valuation that links book equity to return on capital. It adds a premium over book value only when the 3-year return (ROE) exceeds the opportunity cost of equity (rₑ).
  • Gordon model (income / Ertragswert): classic capitalization of normalized net profit over an infinite horizon, measuring the firm’s ability to earn regardless of balance-sheet size.

The module supports investment screening, market benchmarking, and financial-health analysis of companies in Poland. Estimated valuation is available on company profiles, in search filters, and in data export.

Company comparison

We have rolled out a comparison feature for KRS companies. When you select two firms, the platform lines up their financial statements: revenue, profits, margins, assets, and other data.

A comparison can be started from a company profile or on this page.

Registry Files Repository (RAR)

Company profiles now include documents from the Registry Files Repository (Repozytorium Akt Rejestrowych) maintained by the Ministry of Justice. This feeds our database with articles of association and notarial deeds.

A KRS extract omits shareholders holding less than 10% of the share capital. RAR filings reveal those ownership links by name. The articles of association also add further detail: whether a share transfer requires consent from the board or the other shareholders, and whether the company was formed for a fixed or an indefinite term.

New MCP Tools

We have introduced new MCP tools that allow you not only to query the database, but also to manage your profile entirely: check usage limits, generate new API keys, or add companies to your watchlist. As a result, using the platform is now fully optimized for AI agents. Details can be found in the MCP documentation.

KNF Register

We have expanded company profiles to include entries from all registers of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). You can now easily check whether an entity is listed as a bank, insurer, payment institution, broker, or agent, or if it has been placed on the public warning list.

Above all, integrating this register makes it much easier to verify financial market companies and confirm the scope of their regulatory authorizations.

Court and Commercial Gazette (MSiG)

Announcements from the Court and Commercial Gazette (Monitor Sądowy i Gospodarczy) are now available on company profiles. You can now track creditor calls, liquidations, mergers, transformations, general meeting notices, and bankruptcy announcements—even before they appear in the National Court Register (KRS).

Waste and packaging (BDO)

Company profiles now include data from the BDO register (products and packaging). The platform thereby shows whether a firm legally handles waste or places packaging on the market.

All these new data points are visible on company profiles and fully integrated into the Compabase AI Assistant. This expands the analytical power of our AI, streamlining vetting and driving transparency across the business ecosystem.

In the coming weeks, we will roll out additional registries and expand our proprietary early anomaly detection system. Our mission is to make deep market intelligence—once the exclusive domain of large institutions—an everyday standard for every entrepreneur. With clear tools and simple prompts, anyone can now analyze what used to be scattered, hidden, and hard to reach.
