Methodology

This report adopts a broad definition of digital commerce, covering retail and wholesale internet operations across B2C, B2B, and D2C business models.

  1. Industry Classification & NACE Codes: Companies classified under primary NACE code PKD 47.91.Z (Retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet) were analyzed, alongside category leaders in PKD 47.71.Z (apparel), PKD 47.72.Z (footwear), PKD 47.41.Z (consumer electronics), PKD 10.83.Z (packaged beverages) and digital marketplace operators under code PKD 63.12.Z (web portals).
  2. Operational Verification: Companies providing auxiliary services (payment processors, 3PL logistics, warehouse developers, and digital marketing agencies) were excluded. Active web storefronts and proprietary checkout flows were mandatory criteria.
  3. Financial Analysis & Ranking Factor: Financial data was compiled from official 2025 corporate filings in Poland’s National Court Register (KRS), benchmarking against 2024 performance. Rankings are based strictly on absolute total sales revenues for FY 2025.
