Manner of representation

The President represents the volunteer fire brigade externally and directs the work of the management board. In justified cases, the President authorizes another person to represent the volunteer fire brigade externally in a specific matter, excluding the activities referred to in § 36 of the articles of association. In the absence of the President, the Vice-President performs his duties, including directing the work of the management board. Contracts, acts, attorney-in-fact authorizations and financial documents are signed on behalf of the volunteer fire brigade by the President independently, or jointly by the Vice-President together with the treasurer. In cases where a separate provision requires a countersignature, the documents specified in section 1 are also signed by the treasurer.
