Manner of representation

The President represents the volunteer fire brigade externally and signs contracts, acts, attorney-in-fact authorizations and financial documents on behalf of the volunteer fire brigade. During the absence of the President or his inability to perform his function, the Vice-President assumes his duties and powers. After prior consultation with the President, the Vice-President signs correspondence concerning the matters being conducted and represents the volunteer fire brigade externally in those matters. The Chief performs the function of Vice-President. The description of a financial document is made by the person who made the purchase. In addition, the description must bear the signature of the treasurer and the President, or of the treasurer and the Vice-President, or of the treasurer and the Chief. The description of other invoices is made by the treasurer or the President and, similarly to section 2, the description must bear at least two signatures, namely those of the treasurer and the President, or of the treasurer and the Vice-President, or of the treasurer and the Chief.
