A NIP covers every Polish entity — commercial companies and CEIDG sole traders. A KRS number applies only to registered companies and immediately shows historical board changes, share capital and annual financial statements.

A KRZ entry signals an ongoing or closed bankruptcy, restructuring or enforcement case. A clean record is a key safety signal, but a proper risk audit should still include liquidity and capital-link analysis.
