How to connect Compabase to ChatGPT
Compabase gives ChatGPT read-only access to data on 3M+ Polish companies from the KRS and CEIDG registers (financial statements, management and owners, public tenders, insolvency and sanctions records).
Server URL
When the client asks you to sign in, the Compabase page opens: sign in to your Compabase account and click Allow. The client then receives its own access token.
Steps
- In ChatGPT open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (available on paid plans).
- Choose Create app, name it Compabase and paste https://compabase.com/api/mcp/connect as the MCP server URL.
- Set Authentication to OAuth, then sign in to Compabase and click Allow when prompted.
- Start a chat, open the + menu and select Compabase to use its tools.
Workspace admins on Business and Enterprise plans control whether members can add custom apps.
Try these prompts
- Look up Orlen (KRS 0000028860) and summarise its latest financials.
- Who are the beneficial owners of KRS 0000028860?
- List software companies (PKD 62.01) in Gdańsk with revenue above PLN 10 million.
Cost and access
You need a Compabase account; the free plan includes a monthly allowance of MCP queries and paid plans raise it. You sign in once in the OAuth window; no API key to copy. Prefer a static key? Create an MCP key at https://compabase.com/integrations?tab=mcp and send it as Authorization: Bearer mcpk_… to https://compabase.com/api/mcp.
All tools are read-only. See the MCP documentation for every tool, or the GitHub repository.
