How to connect Compabase to Cursor
Compabase gives Cursor read-only access to data on 3M+ Polish companies from the KRS and CEIDG registers (financial statements, management and owners, public tenders, insolvency and sanctions records).
Server URL
When the client asks you to sign in, the Compabase page opens: sign in to your Compabase account and click Allow. The client then receives its own access token.
Steps
- Open Cursor Settings → MCP and click Add new MCP server, or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "compabase": { "url": "https://compabase.com/api/mcp/connect" } } } - Save, then click Needs login next to compabase in Cursor Settings → MCP, sign in to Compabase and click Allow.
Prefer an API key? Create an MCP key at https://compabase.com/integrations?tab=mcp and add "headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer mcpk_..."} to the server entry.
Try these prompts
- Look up Orlen (KRS 0000028860) and summarise its latest financials.
- Who are the beneficial owners of KRS 0000028860?
- List software companies (PKD 62.01) in Gdańsk with revenue above PLN 10 million.
Cost and access
You need a Compabase account; the free plan includes a monthly allowance of MCP queries and paid plans raise it. You sign in once in the OAuth window; no API key to copy. Prefer a static key? Create an MCP key at https://compabase.com/integrations?tab=mcp and send it as Authorization: Bearer mcpk_… to https://compabase.com/api/mcp.
All tools are read-only. See the MCP documentation for every tool, or the GitHub repository.
