Landfill disposal (PKD 38.32.Z)
This subclass includes:
- disposal (including treatment prior to disposal) and landfilling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, whether solid or non-solid, on or under the surface of the ground, in landfills or dumps,
- treatment of organic waste for disposal,
- disposal of animal by-products in waste landfills,
- permanent underground storage of waste in deep geological formations (for example in a salt or potash mine),
- storage of captured carbon dioxide.
