This section includes:
- publishing activities relating to books, newspapers, periodicals and software (relevant subclasses of division 58),
- activities related to the production of films, video recordings and television programmes, publishing activities relating to sound recordings and music recordings (relevant subclasses of division 59),
- activities related to radio and television broadcasting, as well as the production and distribution of television or radio programmes, including streaming platforms, downloading and distribution (sharing) of content activities not related to content publishing, operation of blogs and wiki-type services, social networking services and activities related to online / computer games services (relevant subclasses of division 60),
- telecommunications (relevant subclasses of division 61),
- information technology activities (relevant subclasses of division 62),
- other information service activities (relevant subclasses of division 63),
- creation and leasing of copyright to published content. Publishing activities relate to the acquisition of copyright in publication content (information products) and making that content available to the public by engaging in (or organising) its publication and distribution in various forms. Publishers may publish and then license others to distribute the content, or they may publish and distribute content that they have created themselves or that they own. All possible forms of publication are included in this section (printed, electronic, digital, analog or any other form) as well as self-publishing activities. Activities related to the production of individual components (for example films, television series) are included in the relevant subclasses of division 59. By contrast, the creation of an entire programme for a television channel from components produced in division 59 or other components (for example live news programmes) is included in the relevant subclasses of division 60. Division 60 also includes broadcasting of programmes by their producer. Broadcasting of an entire television programme by third parties, that is, without making changes to the programmes, is included in the relevant subclasses of division 61. Programme transmission may take place via satellite stations or cable networks and is included in the relevant subclasses of division 61.
This section excludes:
- wholesale and retail sale of recorded information media, classified in the relevant subclasses of section G,
- telecommunications services and related services, that is, transmission of voice, data, text, audio and video, computer programming activities, computer infrastructure and hosting activities and web search portal activities, classified in the relevant subclasses of section K
- carrying out financial and insurance activities using issued financial and insurance technology software, classified in the relevant subclasses of section L
- management of copyright, classified in 74.91.Z
- rental of records, classified in 77.22.Z
- activities of independent musicians and actors (including influencers appearing in vlogs), writers and bloggers, not being publishers of their own content, and gambling services, classified in the relevant subclasses of section S.
