Civil engineering (PKD division 42)

This division includes general construction works for civil engineering structures. In all groupings of this division, construction works related to the erection, extension, reconstruction, alteration, superstructure addition, repair, and assembly on the construction site of buildings from prefabricated elements, of a permanent or temporary nature, are included. This division includes the construction of such civil engineering structures as motorways, roads, streets, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, flyovers, railway tracks, airport runways, ports and water engineering structures, irrigation systems, sewage systems, water supply and sewerage networks, industrial structures, pipelines and power lines, open-air sports facilities and the like. Such works may be carried out on own account or on a contract basis. Part of the works or sometimes practically the entire scope of works may be subcontracted.
