Food and beverage service activities (PKD division 56)
This division covers service activities related to the provision of food and beverages intended for immediate consumption in restaurants (including self-service restaurants and take-away restaurants), operating continuously or periodically, with or without seating. The type of establishment serving the meals is not relevant here; what matters is that the meals are intended for immediate consumption
This division excludes:
- the production of meals that are not intended for immediate consumption or are not planned to be consumed immediately, or the production of ready-made food that is not treated as a ready meal, classified in the relevant subclasses of divisions 10 and 11,
- the sale of food produced by other economic entities that is not treated as a ready meal, or the sale of ready meals that are not intended for immediate consumption, classified in the relevant subclasses of section G,
- coffee vending machines and vending machines dispensing food and other beverages prepared by the machine, classified in the relevant subclasses of division 47.
