• operation, maintenance or provision of facilities for the transmission of voice, data, text, audio and video using wired, wireless or satellite telecommunications infrastructure, including:
  • operation and maintenance of communication and transmission systems to provide communication between two exchanges via terrestrial lines, microwave links or a combination of terrestrial lines with satellite connections,
  • operation of cable distribution systems (for example for the distribution of data and television signals) with or without provision of video-on-demand services to customers, carried out on a commissioned basis,
  • provision of Internet access by the infrastructure operator,
  • maintenance and operation of cellular and other wireless telecommunications networks (including paging systems),
  • delivery of visual, sound or text programmes received from cable networks, local television or radio stations to consumers via satellite systems delivering the signal directly to the home or via the Internet (entities classified here generally do not create programme content),
  • provision of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) by the infrastructure operator.

Transmission systems may be based on a single technology or a combination thereof.

• publishing of Internet messaging or satellite geolocation applications, classified in 58.29.Z,
• activities in the resale of telecommunications services and telecommunications brokerage, classified in 61.20.Z,
• activities in the provision of telephone services and Internet access in public premises (for example internet cafés), classified in 61.20.Z
• provision of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), without data transmission equipment, classified in 61.90.B. telecommunications brokerage
