Logging (PKD 02.20.Z)
This subclass covers the extraction of:
- roundwood for further processing in the manufacturing industry,
- roundwood used in unprocessed form (such as pit props, poles and posts),
- wood and other forest products for fuel purposes (for example brushwood, stumps, logging chips and other forest residues),
- production of charcoal in the forest (using traditional methods).
This subclass excludes:
- cultivation of Christmas trees, classified in 01.29.Z,
- forest establishment, management and the maintenance and expansion of forest resources and plantations, classified in 02.10.Z,
- gathering of wild forest products, classified in 02.30.Z,
- production of wood chips not related to forestry, classified in 16.11.Z,
- production of charcoal obtained in the process of wood distillation, classified in 20.14.Z.
