Mining of hard coal (PKD 05.10.Z)
This subclass includes:
- mining of hard coal in mines (underground or surface), including extraction in liquid form
- cleaning, sorting, pulverising and similar operations leading to the classification of hard coal, improvement of its quality or preparation for transport or storage
- recovery of hard coal from spoil heaps.
This subclass excludes:
- mining of brown coal (lignite), classified in 05.20.Z,
- extraction and enrichment of peat, classified in 08.92.Z,
- test drilling for coal prospecting and ancillary service activities related to hard coal mining, classified in 09.90.Z,
- production of solid fuels using coke ovens, classified in 19.10.Z,
- production of briquettes, briquetted lumps and similar solid fuels from hard coal, classified in 19.20.Z,
- site preparation for hard coal mining, classified in 43.12.Z.
