This subclass includes:

- production of exceptionally pure iron by electrolysis or other chemical processes,
- remelting of defective ingots of cast iron or steel,
- production of granules and powder of cast iron or steel,
- production of cast iron and steel in the form of ingots and other primary forms,
- production of semi-finished products of cast iron or steel,
- production of flat-rolled products of cast iron or steel, hot-rolled and cold-rolled,
- production of hot-rolled bars and rods, of cast iron or steel,
- production of angles, shapes and other open profiles, hot-rolled, of cast iron or steel,
- production of sheet piling and welded open sections, of cast iron or steel,
- production of railway track construction elements, of cast iron or steel,
- production of blast furnace gas,
- production of flat-rolled steel products, coated or uncoated, in coils or in straight lengths, of a width of 600 mm or more, by further cold-rolling of flat-rolled products or steel bars hot-rolled.
This subclass excludes:
- production of bars by cold drawing, classified in 24.31.Z. steel
