This subclass includes the manufacture of furniture of various types and for various purposes, of any material, and the manufacture of furniture parts, excluding sheets and slabs (even cut to shape) of glass (including mirrors), marble or other stone, concrete or similar materials for the manufacture of furniture.
This subclass includes:
- the manufacture of chairs and seats for offices, production premises, hotels, restaurants and public-use premises,
- the manufacture of theatre, cinema and similar chairs and seats,
- the manufacture of specialised shop furniture: counters, display cases, shelves and similar articles,
- the manufacture of office furniture,
- the manufacture of laboratory benches, stools and other seats used in laboratories, and other laboratory furniture (for example cabinets, tables),
- the manufacture of furniture used in churches, schools or restaurants,
- the manufacture of kitchen furniture,
- the manufacture of sofas, sofa beds, upholstered couches and lounge suites,
- the manufacture of garden chairs and seating furniture,
- the manufacture of furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, gardens and similar,
- the manufacture of cabinets for sewing machines, televisions and similar,
- the manufacture of mattresses and mattress supports,
- the manufacture of catering trolleys,
- the manufacture of furniture components intended for installation in built-in shop furniture,
- the finishing of furniture (for example painting (including spray painting), polishing and upholstering),
- the manufacture of wardrobes.
This subclass excludes:
- the manufacture of pillows, cushions, bolsters, duvets and quilts, classified in 13.92.Z,
- the manufacture of wooden mouldings not identified as parts of furniture, classified in the appropriate subclasses of group 16.1,
- the manufacture of joinery and carpentry products for construction, classified in 16.23.Z,
- the manufacture of inflatable rubber mattresses, classified in 22.12.Z,
- the manufacture of rubber mattresses for water beds, classified in 22.12.Z,

- the manufacture of medical, surgical, dental or veterinary furniture, classified in 32.50.A, 32.50.B,
- the installation of building joinery: installation of fitted wardrobes, built-in furniture assembled from furniture modules, built-in laboratory furniture, classified in 43.32.Z,
