This subclass excludes:
- generation of electricity from renewable sources, classified in 35.12.A, 35.12.B, 35.12.C, 35.12.D, 35.12.E, 35.12.F,
- generation of electricity as part of electricity storage activities, classified in 35.16.Z,
- preliminary treatment of waste prior to energy recovery and processing of waste materials for energy recovery, classified in 38.22.Z.
