Activities of holding companies (PKD 64.21.Z)
This subclass includes:
- activities of holding companies, that is, entities which own assets (hold a sufficient number of shares conferring control) in at least one subsidiary and whose sole purpose is to hold subsidiaries. Holding companies belonging to this class do not provide any other services to the enterprises in which they hold equity interests; that is, they do not manage or administer other entities.
This subclass excludes:
- activities of investment companies not holding a controlling block of equity, classified in 64.32.Z,
- investment activity on financial markets on own account, classified in 64.99.Z,
- asset management activities performed on commission, classified in 66.30.Z,
- management services activities (for example strategic or organisational planning and decision-making processes, as well as administrative services of head offices), classified in 70.10.A,
- active management of companies and business entities, strategic or organisational planning and decision-making processes in relation to business entities, classified in 70.10.A.
