This subclass includes:
- the dressing of hides (including fur skins), including pre-tanned hides: soaking, liming, fleshing, de-liming, pickling, degreasing, mineral or vegetable tanning, splitting, wringing, shaving, retanning, fatliquoring, dyeing, drying and finishing thereof,
- the manufacture of suede leather, parchment leather, patent leather or metallised leather,
- the manufacture of composition leather.
This subclass excludes:
- the manufacture of raw hides and skins originating from agricultural holdings, classified in the appropriate subclasses of group 01.4,
- the manufacture of raw hides and skins originating from slaughterhouses, classified in 10.11.Z,
- the manufacture of leather clothing, classified in 14.24.Z,
- the manufacture of imitation leather based on other than natural leather, classified in 22.12.Z, 22.26.Z.
