Households as employers of domestic personnel (PKD 97.00.Z)
This subclass includes the employment of domestic personnel (for example cooks, cleaners, gardeners, chauffeurs, caretakers, babysitters, personal assistants) by households. This enables employed domestic personnel to indicate the employer's activity for registration in censuses or surveys, even if the employer is a natural person. Products manufactured within the activities of private households are consumed by those households. This subclass does not include individual and household-related service activities (for example cleaning, ironing, cooking, gardening work) performed by service providers (for-profit, non-profit, public organisations or self-employed persons), classified in the relevant subclasses according to the type of activity performed. DIVISION 98 Households producing goods and providing services for own use This division includes various household activities related to the production of goods and services for own use. Households should be classified here only when it is not possible to identify the main activity of the household. Where households carry out market activities, they are classified according to their predominant market activity.
