This subclass includes the cultivation of cereals, leguminous crops and oilseeds. It also includes the cultivation of these crops for seed production purposes. The cultivation of these crops is often combined within the agricultural holding.
This subclass includes:

- oats,
- millet,
- pseudocereals, that is, fruits or seeds used in a manner similar to traditional cereals, for example:
- quinoa,
- amaranth,

- cultivation of leguminous crops, for example:

- broad beans,
- chickpeas,
- cowpeas,
- lentils,
- lupins other than fodder lupins,
- peas,
- pigeon peas,
- cultivation of oilseeds for seed, for example:
- soybeans,
- groundnuts,
- castor beans,
- linseed,
- mustard,
- cotton,
- rapeseed,
- safflower,
- sesame,
- sunflower.
