Post-harvest crop activities and seed processing for propagation (PKD 01.63.Z)
This subclass covers post-harvest service activities carried out on a contract basis:
- preparing crops for sale on the primary market, for example by cleaning, trimming, grading, disinfecting,
- ginning of cotton,
- preparation of tobacco leaves, hop cones and herbs, for example by natural drying,
- preparation of cocoa beans, for example shelling,
- waxing of fruit,
- drying of fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, medicinal herbs and tobacco,
- sorting, cleaning, cutting and drying of medicinal herbs,
- drying of grain,
- post-harvest activities aimed at improving seed quality, for example by removing undersized, damaged or immature seeds or by maintaining seed moisture at a level safe for storage,
- retting of fibrous plants (such as jute, flax, coconut) not connected with their cultivation,
- treatments accelerating the ripening of fruit, for example ripening of bananas,
- drying, cleaning, sorting and storage of seeds until their sale,
- processing of genetically modified seeds.
This subclass excludes:
- preparation for sale of agricultural products by the producer, classified in the appropriate subclasses of groups 01.1, 01.2 and 01.3,
- seed production, classified in the appropriate subclasses of groups 01.1 and 01.2,
- services related to processing seeds to obtain oil, classified in 10.41.Z,
- preliminary processing of raw tobacco material, that is, preparation of raw tobacco material for further processing by producers of tobacco products, consisting in particular of stripping the veins, cutting, soaking or redrying of the leaf blade, classified in 12.00.Z
- marketing activities carried out on a contract basis, classified in the appropriate subclasses of division 46
- wholesale of agricultural products, classified in the appropriate subclasses of group 46.2
- experimental research related to the development and modification of seeds, classified in 72.10.Z. service
