Manufacture of other inorganic basic chemicals (PKD 20.13.Z)

This subclass includes the production of basic chemicals using basic processes. The results of these processes are usually isolated chemical elements and chemically defined compounds isolated therefrom.

This subclass includes:

  • the production of chemical elements (excluding the production of technical gases and basic metals),
  • the production of inorganic acids, excluding nitric acid,
  • the production of bases (alkalis) and other inorganic compounds, excluding ammonia,
  • the production of other inorganic compounds,
  • roasting of pyrites,
  • the production of distilled water,
  • the enrichment of uranium and thorium ores,
  • the production of lithium hydroxide,
  • the production of decolourising agents.

This subclass excludes:

  • the production of technical gases, classified in 20.11.Z,
  • the production of nitrogenous fertilisers and nitrogen mixtures, classified in 20.15.Z,
  • the production of ammonia and ammonium chloride, classified in 20.15.Z,
  • the production of potassium nitrate and potassium nitrite, classified in 20.15.Z,
  • the production of ammonium carbonate, classified in 20.15.Z,
  • the production of flavoured distilled water, classified in 20.59.Z,
  • the production of basic metals, classified in the relevant subclasses of division 24.
