Manufacture of other organic basic chemicals (PKD 20.14.Z)
This subclass includes the manufacture of basic chemicals using processes such as thermal cracking and distillation. The results of these processes are usually isolated chemical elements and chemically defined organic compounds.
This subclass includes:
- the manufacture of basic organic chemicals:
- aliphatic saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons,
- cyclic saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons,
- cyclic and aliphatic alcohols,
- mono- and polycarboxylic acids, including synthetic acetic acid,
- other oxygen-containing compounds, including aldehydes, ketones, benzoquinones and compounds with di- and poly-oxygen-containing radicals,
- synthetic glycerol,
- organic nitrogen compounds, including amines,
- ethyl alcohol and esters by fermentation of plant products (sugar cane, maize and the like), not intended for consumption,
- synthetic ethyl alcohol,
- other organic compounds, including wood distillation products (for example charcoal) and the like,
- the manufacture of synthetic aromatics,
- the manufacture of methane for other purposes than energy use in the grid system,
- the manufacture of coal tar,
- the manufacture of ethyl alcohol for purposes other than for the production of biofuel (bioethanol),
- the manufacture of refrigerant gases.
This subclass excludes:
- natural gas extraction, classified in 06.20.Z,
- the manufacture of basic forms of plastics, classified in 20.16.Z,
- the manufacture of basic forms of synthetic rubber, classified in 20.17.Z,
- the manufacture of crude glycerol, classified in 20.41.Z,
- the manufacture of liquid biofuels (for example bioethanol), classified in 20.51.Z,
- the manufacture of ethanol from biomass, classified in 20.51.Z,
- the manufacture of natural essential oils, classified in 20.59.Z,
- the manufacture of salicylic acid and acetylsalicylic acid oxide, classified in 21.10.Z,
- the manufacture of methane as a gaseous fuel supplied in the grid system, classified in 35.21.Z.
