This subclass includes:
- the manufacture of electric motors, except for motor vehicles,
- the manufacture of power distribution transformers,
- the manufacture of arc-welding transformers,
- the manufacture of ballasts for discharge lamps, including tubular discharge lamps (that is, transformers),
- the manufacture of transformer substations for the distribution of electric power,
- the manufacture of voltage regulators for the transmission and distribution of electric power,
- the manufacture of inverters, rectifiers and converters,
- the manufacture of linear electric actuators,
- the manufacture of generator sets serving as a prime mover (excluding turbo-generator sets),
- the manufacture of generators (excluding alternators for charging batteries in motor vehicles),
- the manufacture of engine-driven generating sets (excluding turbo-generator sets),
- rewinding of electric motors, generators and transformers,
- the manufacture of photoelectric generators (photovoltaic installations) that may be used directly to supply, for example, a motor or an electrolyser.
This subclass excludes:
- the manufacture of electronic transformers and switches, classified in 26.11.Z,
- the manufacture of photovoltaic cells, modules and panels, classified in 26.11.Z,
- the manufacture of semiconductor charging devices for batteries, classified in 27.90.Z,
- the manufacture of turbo-generator sets, classified in 28.11.Z,
- the manufacture of electric motors for motor vehicles (excluding motorcycles), classified in 29.10.A,
- the manufacture of starter motors and generators for internal combustion engines, classified in 29.31.Z.
