This subclass includes:
- service activities incidental to air transport of passengers, animals and goods:
- operation of terminals such as airports and air terminals,
- air traffic control,
- ground handling of aircraft and the like,
- ensuring safety during works related to the maintenance of airport infrastructure,
- storage of aircraft,
- fire-fighting and fire protection at airports.
This subclass excludes:
- cargo handling at other transshipment points, classified in 52.24.C,
- baggage and passenger screening at airports, without the involvement of public authorities, classified in 80.01.Z,
- baggage and passenger screening at airports by public authorities, classified in 84.24.Z,
- flying schools for professional pilots, classified in the relevant subclasses of group 85.3,
- flying schools that do not issue certificates and authorisations for professionals, classified in 85.53.Z.
