This subclass includes:
- activities of distribution centres,
- receipt of goods and grouping them for dispatch,
- operations related to the handling of goods (for example, temporary storage and packing goods into boxes for warehousing or for their protection during transport, unpacking, sampling or weighing of goods).
This subclass excludes:
- forwarding, classified in 52.26.Z,
- activities of ship brokers arranging ship entry and clearance, with the function of mediating between shipowners and freight forwarders or consignees of goods, classified in 52.31.Z,
- courier activities, classified in 53.20.Z,
- activities related to motor vehicle, marine, aviation and transport insurance, classified in 65.12.Z,
- management consultancy in logistics management of business entities, classified in 70.20.Z,
- activities related to logistics consultancy, that is, the planning, design and support of transport, warehousing and distribution activities, classified in 70.20.Z.
