Restaurants and other stationary eating places (PKD 56.11.Z)
This subclass mainly covers the preparation and serving of meals to guests (for example in restaurants, self-service restaurants and take-away restaurants), with or without seating, in permanent or temporary premises. This subclass covers the activities of:
- restaurants,
- cafes,
- fast food restaurants,
- milk bars,
- snack bars,
- ice cream parlours,
- pizzerias,
- take-away food outlets,
- restaurant activities carried out in transport vehicles by separate entities that are not transport service providers,
- restaurant activities carried out in hotels, performed by separate entities that are not affiliated with the hotel,
- take-away restaurant activities in supermarkets, performed by separate entities that are not affiliated with the supermarket.
This subclass excludes:
- the retail sale of food from vending machines, classified in the relevant subclasses of group 47.2,
- the operation of railway dining cars carried out within a railway undertaking, classified in 49.11.Z,
- the operation of mobile food service establishments, classified in 56.12.Z,
- occasional preparation and delivery of food for external customers, classified in 56.21.Z,
- concession activities of food service establishments, classified in 56.22.Z,
- preparation and delivery of food under contract (for example for transport undertakings), classified in 56.22.Z,
- activities of tea rooms, classified in 56.30.Z.
