This group includes aquaculture, that is the breeding and rearing of aquatic organisms (for example fish, molluscs, crustaceans, plants, crocodiles, alligators and amphibians), using techniques aimed at increasing production of organisms beyond the natural size determined by the environment (for example through feeding and protection against predators).

The group also includes the breeding and rearing of fry and adult specimens under artificial conditions.
