This subclass covers the publishing of:
- magazines and other periodicals,
- radio and television programmes.
All possible publication formats (printed, digital, analogue or any other) are included here.
The publication of a periodically or regularly updated collection of information should be subject to editorial responsibility and control, consisting mainly of journalistic literary works and aimed at informing the general public. Magazines and other periodicals are issued less often than four times a week. If the product is published both in printed and electronic form, the publication frequency shall be assessed on the basis of the frequency of issue of the printed version.
This subclass excludes:
- television or video news programme production, classified in 59.11.Z,
- news agency activities, classified in 60.31.Z,
- distribution of content via blogs, classified in 60.39.Z,
- activities of photojournalists who are not publishers of their own content, classified in 74.20.Z,
- activities of journalists who are not publishers of their own content, classified in 90.11.Z.
