Manufacture of jewellery and related articles (PKD 32.12.Z)

This subclass includes:

  • the processing of pearls,
  • the cutting and polishing of precious and semi-precious stones, including industrial diamonds, synthetic and reconstructed precious and semi-precious stones,
  • the processing of diamonds,
  • the manufacture of jewellery from precious metals or from base metals plated with precious metals or with precious and semi-precious stones, or as a combination of precious metals with precious or semi-precious stones, or with other materials,
  • the manufacture of goldsmiths' articles from precious metals or from base metals plated with precious metals, for example:
    • tableware, cutlery, vessels, toilet articles, office supplies, objects intended for religious purposes,
  • the manufacture of technical or laboratory articles of precious metals (excluding technical and laboratory instruments and apparatus and their parts), for example crucibles, spatulas, galvanic anodes,
  • the manufacture of watch straps, bracelets, bands and cigarette cases of precious metals,
  • engraving of personal articles made of precious or base metals.

This subclass excludes:

  • the manufacture of non-metal watch straps (for example of leather, textile materials, plastics), classified in 15.12.Z,
  • the manufacture of articles of base metal plated with silver, gold or platinum, not further worked, classified in 24.41.Z,
  • the manufacture of statuettes and other ornaments of base metal coated with precious metal, classified in 25.99.Z,
  • the manufacture of watch cases, even if of precious metals, classified in 26.52.Z,
  • the manufacture of metal watch straps other than those of precious metals, classified in 32.13.Z,
  • the manufacture of imitation jewellery, even if coated with precious metal, classified in 32.13.Z.
  • the repair of jewellery, classified in 95.25.Z.
