This subclass includes:

  • the manufacture of lifting, handling, loading or unloading machinery and equipment, operated manually or mechanically, for example:
    • pulleys and hoists, winches, capstans and jacks,
    • cranes, lifting gear, road gantries, straddle carriers,
    • industrial trucks, even fitted with lifting or handling equipment, of a type used in industrial plants (including hand trucks and wheelbarrows),
    • mechanical manipulators and industrial robots, specially designed for lifting, gripping, loading or unloading,
    • driverless and robotic forklifts and pallet loading/unloading equipment
  • the manufacture of conveyors, aerial cableways and the like
  • the manufacture of lifts, escalators and moving walkways
  • the manufacture of parts suitable for use solely or principally with lifting and handling equipment
  • the manufacture of automatic lifting and handling equipment of a type used in warehouses.

This subclass excludes:

  • the manufacture of machinery for vertical farming, classified in 28.30.Z,
  • the manufacture of conveyors and hoists, used underground, operating continuously, classified in 28.92.Z,
  • the manufacture of mechanical excavators, dredgers and shovel loaders, classified in 28.92.Z,
  • the manufacture of industrial robots for various applications, classified in 28.99.Z,
  • the manufacture of lorry cranes, floating cranes and railway cranes, classified in 29.10.E, 30.11.Z, 30.20.Z,
  • the installation of lifts and escalators, classified in 43.24.Z.
