Manufacture of prepared meals and dishes (PKD 10.85.Z)
This subclass includes the production of ready-made (that is, prepared, seasoned and cooked) meals and dishes consisting of at least two different ingredients (excluding seasonings), frozen, canned, jarred, vacuum-packed, under MAP or by means of other technologies. These dishes are usually packaged and labelled for sale.
This subclass includes:
- the production of meat or poultry dishes,
- the production of fish dishes, including fish and chips,
- the production of ready-made pasta- or rice-based dishes,
- the production of ready-made vegetable dishes,
- the production of pizzas and casseroles, frozen or otherwise preserved.
This subclass excludes:
- the production of fresh food or food consisting of fewer than two ingredients, classified in the relevant subclasses of division 10,
- the production of ready-made perishable food consisting mainly of fruit and vegetables, classified in 10.39.Z,
- the production of ready-made perishable food, classified in 10.89.D,
- the wholesale of ready-made meals and dishes, classified in 46.38.Z,
- the retail sale of ready-made meals and dishes in stores, classified in 47.11.Z, 47.27.Z,
- the preparation of meals for immediate consumption (for example in restaurants), classified in the relevant subclasses of division 56,
- activities in the field of occasional and regular catering services, classified in the relevant subclasses of group 56.2.
